Meet Our Team

Paul Aggarwal is owner and head vet of the Urban Vet.

He qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006 and went on to become an advanced practitioner in Dermatology.

Paul is passionate about your pet’s welfare and ensuring that communication with you is always the best it can possibly be. He has launched extended consultations so that you can spend as much time as needed to fully understand your pets diagnosis and plan and be part of the journey.

Laura is an experienced vet who has been with us since December 2021 and has quickly become a valued member of the team.

Her passions lie in imaging, cardiology, and surgery, and she is our specialist cat advocate for the practice.

The Urban Vet has silver accreditation with the International Society of Feline Medicine. Laura is our cat advocate would love to see more cats who can take full advantage of our special feline facilities.

Méabh O’Sullivan - Veterinary Surgeon

Méabh qualified from University College Dublin in 2019 and has worked in small animal practice in London ever since. Meabh is an RCVS Advanced practitioner in small animal medicine and holds the BSAVA certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

She is from County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland but lives in Battersea with her husband and her cat Pickles. She has worked at The Urban Vet since it opened in 2021 and has built up a strong client base over the past few years.

Meabh is passionate about internal medicine, cardiology and dentistry in particular. In her spare time, she loves to go for a Gails and a walk around Battersea Park, and spend time with friends and family.

Hannah is an experienced veterinary nurse who has worked alongside Paul for many years.

Hannah ensures that every patient that comes to The Urban Vet receives plenty of love and TLC so that their experience at the vets is not stressful..

Hannah has a strong interest in anaesthesia and wound management which helps us to give the safest anaesthesia for your pets.

Ciara is a vet nurse and helped Paul set up and develop the practice.

Ciara is driven to ensure that The Urban Vet is the best that it can possibly be and that each and every client and their companion receives the very best that can be offered.

Ciara is interested in all areas of veterinary medicine especially cardiology, dermatology and the treatment of chronic conditions.

Jacqui Gould - Veterinary Surgeon

Jacqui is an experienced vet who graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2007. She joined us in 2023 following a decade of work in a hospital practice. She holds a CertAVP with a focus on Emergency and Critical Care but is interested in both surgery and medicine.

Her aim in consultation is to provide the most appropriate care for both animal and owner whatever the circumstances. When she isn’t at work she is kept busy by her young family and ever-increasing number of pets!

Amy Sanchez - Registered Veterinary Nurse

Amy joined the team in October 2023 as a final year student. She then qualified in November and has been working full time as a veterinary nurse since.

Amy enjoys all aspects of nursing but particularly enjoys anaesthesia and wound management. Amy also has an interest in nutrition and will be taking this further in her continuing professional development

Emma Lockwood - Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2020, Emma worked in a busy small animal hospital in Lincolnshire with a high caseload of surgical, medical and hospital patients. After moving to London Emma spent time working in a small branch practice as its sole vet before finding The Urban Vet team in 2022.

Emma has always enjoyed soft tissue surgery but as time has gone by she has developed more of an interest in medical cases, and finds the work-up and diagnosis of complex medical cases in dogs and cats particularly satisfying. Emma also has a special love for anything feline, and finds feline medicine incredibly interesting and rewarding.

Eloise Doak - Receptionist

Eloise is proud to be one of the welcoming faces you’ll see when you visit our practice. As a veterinary receptionist, she loves greeting our furry friends and making sure they feel as comfortable as possible from the moment they arrive.

In her free time, she enjoys connecting with friends and making the most of London life. She looks forward to helping make your visit to our practice a positive experience!

Lily Debenham - Receptionist

Lily has recently joined the team after moving to London at the end of 2024. She is originally from Brisbane, Australia but moved here from Canada after living and working there for the past year. Lily has a huge love for animals and has a family dog at home in Australia who she misses very much.

You’ll see Lily working at the front desk creating bookings and greeting clients and patients. When she’s not at work Lily loves to be outdoors for a walk in the park or cosying up reading a good book.

Lila De’ath - Receptionist

Lila started working at the urban vet in April 2023 after graduating from a fine art course at university. She has lived in London her whole life and in Wandsworth for over 10 years. Lila has two cats and has owned pets all her life including snails, turtles, rabbits and fish.

You can find Lila at the front desk welcoming our clients and patients, taking care of the plants and helping to design our social media content. Lila's favourite thing about The Urban Vet is the sense of fulfilment she gets working for the animals we care for and the owners we support.

Prior to her work here she was studying full time and practicing art in her spare time too. Lila's hobby outside of work continues to be Art and Design where she works on several projects at once, tries new things and always creates whatever makes her happy!

Stephanie Airy - Student Veterinary Nurse

Stephanie joined The Urban Vet in early 2022, initially as a Veterinary Care Assistant, and is now proud to be training as a Student Veterinary Nurse. One of the things she loves most about working at the Urban Vet is th incredible dedication of the team, with staff going above and beyond countless times to care for patients and their families.

Stephanie is particularly passionate about wildlife conservation, with a special interest in mountain gorillas. Her dream is to complete her nursing studies and one day contribute to their preservation.

Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing with a good book, especially when her cat, Perry, is curled up in her lap
